SYNOPSIS:
Though it has “simple” in the title, don’t let Britten’s composition fool you—his Simple Symphony is full of rich melodies, intricate techniques, and lightning-fast passages. Also featuring works by Bartók, Rutter, and Florence Price, our just-added Music for Strings is an intimate program shining the spotlight on our violins, violas, cellos, and basses.
Coupled with the majestic backdrop of our summer home at St. Mary’s Church in Park City, Music for Strings will transport audiences to a melodic world of stirring string sonorities.
