Job Summary

Performs supervision over semi-skilled labor, grounds, custodial, and courier staff members.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of closely related experience, of which two (2) years must have been supervisory or administrative; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education may not substitute for supervisory or administrative experience.

A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah is required.

Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. May be subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

Essential Functions

Coordinates and supervises daily facilities equipment operations for Arts & Culture facilities, including identifying routine and preventative maintenance projects, coordinating repairs and maintenance in facilities, performing regular inspections of life safety systems, performing cost-savings analysis, processing work requests for repairs, and communicating with Salt Lake County Facilities Division and Arts & Culture Technical Directors to schedule and ensure timely completion of projects.
Researches, purchases, and monitors use of janitorial equipment and supplies for facilities following County policies and procedures. Identifies and implements cost-saving measures and safeguards to prevent loss of tools, equipment and supplies.
Trains and oversees semi-skilled labor, grounds, custodial, and courier staff members. Identifies and implements training programs and procedures that ensure the safety of Division facilities operations workers. Assists Division staff with training and support of operations.
