The Dance Box presents ‘I Wonder’; a children’s creative dance & ballet performance including student & faculty work inspired by Sophie Blackall’s book ‘If You Come to Earth” & the important role Wonder plays for humans.

Recommended for all ages. Children 13 months and under (infants being held) do not require a ticket. All other patrons require a ticket regardless of age.

Fa'onelua Dance Studio presents and evening on Tongan cultural dance and storytelling through movement, where tradition meets artistic expression. This recital serves as both a performance and a milestone celebrating the discipline, growth, and identity of each student. Featuring dancers of all ages, the program highlights traditional Tongan dance styles such as Tau'olunga and other Polynesian influences. Each piece reflects months of training, dedication, and personal development. This event is a celebration of community, heritage, and the journey each student has taken. Families and audiences will experience the heart of Fa'onelua—where culture is preserved, confidence is built, and stories are brought to life on stage.
Run time: 90 minutes, no intermission.
Age policy: Recommended for all ages. Children 13 months and under (infants being held) do not require a ticket. All other patrons require a ticket regardless of age.

Dance West 2026 will culminate in TOPOGRAPHY, a public performance in which workshop participants will perform newly created work alongside company dancers and guest faculty. This fully produced performance will feature both professional dance companies, Repertory Dance Theatre and Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, and performance by Dance West participants showcasing choreography by JoyBoy, Usuala Perry, and Daniel Charon.
Run time: 1 hour.

PlayGround Dance Project is a choreographic flash incubator that provides 5 choreographers and 25 dancers the opportunity to create new works in under a week. PlayGround supports artistic exploration and promotes risk-taking, collaborative processes, and experimental dancemaking.
PlayGround is designed to support dance artists local to Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, providing them with time, space, and a platform to create and explore. The dancers and choreographers are given only one week, or eight hours, to create five new pieces of work. Join us for a performance of unique works that showcase our dance community's innovative talent. Let's play, SLC!
PlayGround was launched in Summer 2023 by Founder and Director, Roxanne Gray, and has become an integral part of our local Salt Lake City community. This year's show is produced by 801 Salon, and funded by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Alpha Wealth Foundation, Utah Division of Arts & Museums, The Blocks Arts District, the Salt Lake City Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Fund, and and community members like you.
