Located in Taylorsville, the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center brings premiere performance and rehearsal spaces to the middle and southwest sections of the valley.
This thoughtfully designed venue includes the 400-seat Main-Stage Theatre; the 200-seat Studio 5400 black box theater; and the Centennial Room, a fully functional rehearsal and event space; and professional theater staff and services. Mid-Valley provides the opportunity for performing organizations to showcase their art in this fast-growing area of Salt Lake County.
The Mid-Valley lobby includes an art gallery featuring selections from the Salt Lake County Visual Art Collection and two Percent-for-Art pieces. Adagio is an interior sculpture created from 1,343 highly polished stainless-steel spheres on a linear frame. The shape was developed from movement studies of a dancer, which were captured digitally and manipulated. The artist is Danielle Roney from New York City. One Hundred Items is an exterior sculpture by Salt Lake City’s Tooza Design. The sculpture reflects the Taylorsville Community with metal, color, reflective components, and custom etchings
In addition to the performing spaces, the lobby art gallery, and the site-specific art pieces, Mid-Valley offers professional theater services including full-service ticketing through ArtTix, event management, technical direction and support, and dedicated front-of-house services.
