The Cat in the Hat play follows the story of a boy and his sister, Sally, who are stuck at home on a rainy day. The narrative is uniquely structured, with Jamie's story told chronologically from their first meeting to their divorce, while Cathy's story is told in reverse, starting from the end of their marriage and moving back to their initial romance. The Last Five Years is a beautiful musical starring Utah Festival’s own Vanessa Ballam and Stefan Espinosa.

The story begins with Scalia facing trials in a sealed courtroom, and Ginsburg breaks in to defend him, showcasing their contrasting legal philosophies and shared love for opera as they navigate the challenges together. Trial by Jury is a comic opera that revolves around a breach of promise lawsuit where the plaintiff, Angelina, sues the defendant, Edwin, for abandoning her on their wedding day. The courtroom is filled with humor and chaos as the judge and jury, swayed by their affections for Angelina, navigate the absurdities of the case, ultimately leading to a comical resolution.

But the cantankerous Adams is struggling to assert his arguments and this large group of strong-minded individuals isn’t coming together. They might have a chance if Thomas Jefferson would write a declaration. Under these conditions, how will America ever achieve Independence? Starring Michael Ballam as John Adams.
