John Lenti specializes in music of the 1600s and has made basso continuo improvisation on lute, theorbo, and baroque guitar the cornerstone of a career that encompasses chamber music, recitals, and work for opera companies and orchestras both modern and baroque.
Emily Nelson is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Utah, where she teaches courses in general education. She is also Adjunct Faculty at Westminster College, where she teaches Opera Studio, World Music, and applied voice. She concurrently enjoys an active performing career. In 2009 she co-founded Utopia Early Music, a group that presents concerts of medieval, renaissance, and baroque music.
This concert is presented in cooperation with Utopia Early Music.
Run time: 105 minutes, includes 15 minute intermission.
Recommended for ages 8 and up. All patrons require a ticket including infants being held.
