Westside CultureFest 2026 is a free two-day festival celebration of arts and community featuring over 25+ performances on-stage and outdoors at Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center, an artist market featuring local artists and craftspeople, food trucks, a bar area for adults, art activities for kids, and incredible experiences for all ages.

Voces En Bloom

FREE EVENT

Eccles Presents Voces en Bloom, a vibrant, bilingual outdoor pop-up concert celebrating rising local Latine voices through music, art, and community. Hosted at the McCarthey Plaza at Eccles Theater, the event features a dynamic lineup of local bands and DJs, a curated mini art market honoring Latine culture, and local craft beers. Round out your experience with tasty bites at neighboring Regent Street restaurants.

Previous Voces en Bloom artists include Combo Chimbita, Angélica Garcia, Ambar Lucid, Detzany, and West Valley. Stay tuned for this year’s lineup!

Applications are now open for the mini art market.

, in collaboration with

Academia Mis Raíces

, is a dynamic youth mariachi program directed by artistic director Allan Moreno and musical director Sneider Porras, with the support of Professor Sebastián Velásquez in the initiation area. Based at Esperanza Elementary School in Utah, Águilas de la Esperanza is recognized as the first mariachi program in the state formed by more than 200 student musicians, proudly representing their school and community. The program celebrates Mexican musical traditions while supporting academic success and cultural pride among students from diverse backgrounds.

Through the support of

and the instruction provided by

Academia Mis Raíces

, students receive musical training in mariachi and regional Mexican styles, including vocal performance and instruments such as guitar, vihuela, guitarrón, trumpet, and accordion. Together, Mariachi Águilas de la Esperanza and Academia Mis Raíces perform in community and cultural events, inspiring audiences while promoting bilingual education, family involvement, and the celebration of heritage. Mariachi Águilas de la Esperanza and Academia Mis Raíces will join together in a special collaborative performance.
