JOB SUMMARY

Creates, implements, monitors, administers, coordinates and supports technologies used by the agency ensuring their operation, availability and on-going improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Project Management, or Business Management, or other closely related field, plus two (2) years of supervisor experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages all aspects of the division’s information sytems operations, such as identity and authentication management, software and hardware technical support, equipment lifecycle management, network support and troubleshooting, Event and Client service support, IT security, etc.
  • Technical point of contact for event, patron and ticketing services to ensure success of technologies utilized by clients, vendors and patrons. Attends Production, Venue, Calendaring, Etc. meetings in support of this function.
  • Supervises staff which includes hiring, orienting, training, assigning and reviewing work performance, annual work performance appraisal, and discipline.
  • Manages the service desk for the division.
  • Manages lifecycle of enduser technologies, including contracting, requistions, inventory and asset control, provisioning, deployment, updates, identity management, end of life replacements, and decommissioning.
  • Recommends and implements system and technology solutions and improvements, troubleshooting systems and technology, automating organizational tasks.
  • Division’s liaison to County’s Information Technology division to coordinate issues with service delivery, such as security and identity issues with County-provided services.
  • Maintains user accounts, domain groups, and computers in the Active Directory systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Knowledge of:

  • Project management principles and practices
  • PCI-DSS standards
  • ITIL Principles, especially Operations Management
  • Enterprise provisioning and monitoring tools for Windows and Android devices
  • Onboarding and Offboarding principles
  • Windows desktop and server administration, including AD and MDT
  • Computer Science concepts
  • Sharepoint and Onedrive implementation and support
  • Supervision and personnel management practices and principles
  • Accounting and budgeting principles
  • Client/server technologies and concepts

Skills and Abilities to:

  • Work effectively as a team member and leader to mentor and motivate team
  • Manage multiple budgets across different funds, ensuring IT charges are allocated specifically and accurately
  • De-escalate intense and difficult situations
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and recognize and coordinate diverse stakeholder goals
  • Provide excellent customer service and effective client (internal and external) relations
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Think logically and systematically, solve complex problems, and effectively apply general principles to specific conditions
  • Research, evaluate, and design service solutions
  • Keep up to date with changing technologies and recommend updates to systems accordingly
  • Use tools and work in high, tight, or restrictive spaces, such as catwalks and tension grids
  • Ability to walk long distances.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended periods of sitting. Majority of work conducted in an office environment. Operation of computer interfaces (e.g., keyboards, mice). Have a valid drivers license. Work in tight,dark,restrictive,high,and elevated spaces. Able to be physically present at venues throughout the County. Operation of computer interfaces.
