Eccles Presents Voces en Bloom, a vibrant, bilingual outdoor pop-up concert celebrating rising local Latine voices through music, art, and community. Hosted at the McCarthey Plaza at Eccles Theater, the event features a dynamic lineup of local bands and DJs, a curated mini art market honoring Latine culture, and local craft beers. Round out your experience with tasty bites at neighboring Regent Street restaurants. 

This year’s musical lineup includes Chac Xol, Jazzy Olivo, and Amadora. 

Choc Xol

Chac Xol is not just a musician but a bridge between worlds. Fusing the soulful rhythms of Mexican and American Folk Rock with ethereal layers of shoegaze, dreampop, and psychedelic rock, Chac crafts soundscapes that seek to explore more ancient memories. Each chord strummed and note sung is an invitation for listeners to embark on a journey back in time, connecting them to their roots. Chac’s melodies serve as a luminous tribute to those who walked before us, celebrating both memory and the timeless power of music. Join Chac Xol in his harmonious exploration of music, and rediscover the echoes of your own ancestry.

 

Jazzy Olivo

Dominican American singer, songwriter, actor, and TEDx speaker, Jazzy Olivo is known for a powerful voice and heartfelt songwriting that transcend genres and language. From winning national competitions in the Dominican Republic to debuting on Broadway stages in Mexico City, her artistry fuses musical theater roots with Latin soul, jazz, and indie fusion.

After relocating to Utah, Jazzy expanded her craft through collaborations with
The Utah Symphony, performances with local jazz ensembles, and as co-founder of the jazz fusion band The Mix with her late partner, pianist Courtney Isaiah Smith. Following his passing, she has honored their shared vision by producing and releasing unreleased work, including Broken Bloody Heart, Kidi Boom, and Siente Conmigo, a release honoring his work.

Jazzy has been featured at the Twilight Concert Series, where she opened for Thee Sacred
Souls, as well as the Utah Arts Festival, Jazz and Roots Festival, and Excellence in the
Community. She will also be opening for Kaleo at the Snow Park Amphitheater, continuing to captivate audiences with bilingual originals that explore love, loss, and soul-stirring truth. Her upcoming single Velvety Wonder continues that journey, opening a shimmering new chapter in sound and emotion.

Amadora

Amadora was a lover girl long before it became her moniker. A lover girl by nature and a fairy princess by design, her sound lives in the clouds somewhere between the mountain peaks of Utah and the lush gardens of her imagination. Her debut single, “Jardin,” highlights this obsession with the organic world, blending it with an ethereal, fairy princess persona. Fusing the nostalgic, high-speed energy of drum and bass with the sultry, vintage-glamour of dream pop synth sounds. Her signature fairy-princess energy and celestial vocals, invites listeners to leave the ground behind and fly alongside her.
