COVID-19 Risk Awareness Warning
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our other Guests, Employees and Cast Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Abravanel Hall, Eccles Theater, Capitol Theatre and Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting our venues you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Let’s keep each other healthy and safe.

Health & Safety Procedures
If you exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to anyone with the virus, please stay home. Contact arttix@slco.org or call 801-355-ARTS within 48 hours to review ticket refund and exchange options.

  • COVID symptoms may include fever or chills; cough; shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; muscle or body aches; new loss of taste or smell; sore throat; congestion or runny nose; and nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Health & Safety Guidelines

  • Face coverings and social distancing will no longer be required for fully vaccinated individuals in Salt Lake County facilities. This applies to staff, crew, patrons, and other event attendees.
  • Those non-vaccinated individuals and children under 12 should continue to wear face coverings.
  • Performances and events are able to seat patrons at full capacity – patrons may be seated shoulder to shoulder without social distancing.
  • Presenters may continue to require distancing, reduced capacity, and face coverings at their performances. Arts & Culture will support these requirements at the request of our presenters.
  • Guidelines are subject to change at any time

Venue Cleaning & Sanitizing

  • The auditorium, including the seats, is cleaned and sanitized prior to each performance.
  • High touch areas – door handles, elevators, ticket office, restrooms – are cleaned and sanitized throughout the performance.
  • Research shows that that HVAC systems play an important role in reducing the concentration of contaminants, including viruses like COVID-19. Arts & Culture is following the best practices for air filtration issued by the CDC and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers.

Guest Services

  • Assisted listening devices will be available at the Patron Services desk in each venue.
  • Coat check and booster seats are suspended at this time.
  • Concessions are not available at this time.
  • You are welcome to bring a filled water bottle with you to the theatre and we have a water bottle filling station available in the lobbies at Capitol Theatre and the Rose.
  • We ask you to have your tickets ready to present to the ushers for scanning; they will not touch your tickets or phones.
  • Please stay in your assigned seats.

Plan Your Visit

  • Downtown traffic can be heavy, so please plan extra time for travel and parking.
  • If you arrive after the performance begins, you may need to wait in the lobby until late seating is available. An usher will help you to your seats.
  • Learn more about downtown parking and dining options here.

Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to navigate this unprecedented situation.  We are excited to welcome you back to our theaters to experience the thrill of live theater.
